charango haiku

I
iberian men
brought their vihuelas with them
hola aloha

II
old world vihuela
catchy Quechua rhythms
vibrant dinosaur

III
in a dream i played
my charango on the street
what do dreams tell us?

IV
in a waking dream
i played the paris metro
down maybe - not out

V
from an empty bowl
delicate ripples of sound
always on my mind

VI
bowl-back vihuela
chiseled like a citole
old world charm-ango
